AquaPalooza on Hiatus for 2017

The massive on-water party draws boaters and water-lovers of all kinds to the small town of Penetanguishene.

Unfortunately, Aquapalooza will not be taking place in Ontario this summer. From a press release put out by the organizers:

Updated status:

Official as of June 16, 2017 Aquapolooza Georgian Bay will take a 1 year hiatus. A wonderful family friendly on water event free for all that takes place on Georgian Bay the 3rd Saturday in July for the past 15 years, Aquapalooza will take a “pause” this summer as organizers re-evaluate location, interest and cost.

“I believe events such as Aquapolooza are important," said organizer Jeff Sinclair. “We have had amazing support from our partners Pride Marine Group, MD Marine Insurance, Pie Pizza, Town of Penetanguishene, Parkbridge Group and Foundation of Hope, not to mention all of the volunteers.”

“It has not been an easy decision but we have decided to take a break and refocus. It does not mean we will do nothing this summer as we are organizing a Celebrate Henry’s Sansousi event July 28-29.”

After 15 years of organizing Aquapolooza, “I made this decision with a mixed heart,” said Jeff. "But it's time to re-charge and re-fresh the batteries. Have a great summer and I’ll see you on the water... maybe even at Henry’s in Sansousi.”

What is Aquapalooza?

Billed as the “ultimate summer boating event,” Aquapalooza is celebrated in dozens of locations across the United States, as well as internationally. From raft-ups to barbeques, musical performances, socials, games and giveaways, Aquapalooza is a lot of fun for the whole family.

Since its inception back in 2006, Aquapalooza events have taken on a life of their own. Created by Sea Ray Boats, they welcome power boaters, sailors, jet skiers, kayakers, canoeists and anyone else who wants to be there.  Any boat, any brand—everyone’s welcome.
