The Old Stone House

Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site, Sault Ste Marie's historical link to the War of 1812, has been completely restored and depicts the life of Charles Oakes Ermatinger, as well as other prominent residents and visitors of the House between 1808 and 1870. A second building, the Clergue Blockhouse, has been relocated to the site and was the home of Francis Hector Clergue from 1894 - 1908.
