Whether you’re a family looking for a March Break getaway, sledders looking for phenomenal backcountry powder, or a couple looking for a special winter weekend, you’re sure to find an experience to suit exactly what you're looking for at a Northeastern Ontario lodge.

Sunset Bay Inn

Perfect for: Snowshoers, Couples' Getaways

Highlights: Modern furnishings, a full kitchen, located on Big Nellie Lake

Make it an extra long weekend on your way to Timmins, or make the trip just to visit homey Sunset Bay Inn in Iroquois Falls. Sportsman’s Lodge Wilderness Resort

Make the trip to this family owned and operated lodge on the shores of Kukagami Lake in Wahnapitae, near the City of Greater Sudbury. Step into a pair of skis or snowshoes and visit one of the largest remaining stands of old growth pine forest, or take a nature photography tour with Northland Paradise in Temagami. Auld Reekie Lodge

If you're looking for a traditional lodge with history, Auld Reekie Lodge is the one. A great 'off the beaten trail' destination in beautiful Gowganda, the lodge was established in 1965. Besides direct access to snowmobile trails, Auld Reekie Lodge also offers guests a three-course dinner in their licensed dining room, a full hot breakfast, use of their hot tub, and satellite TV (all with their sledders package). Guests are also welcome to fish for their dinner, but bringing your own gear is recommended.   

Elk Lake Wilderness Resort

Perfect for: Sledders

Enjoy modern cabins, hot food and premium gas at Elk Lake Wilderness Resort in Elk Lake on the Montreal River. This resort boasts access to hundreds of kilometres of groomed snowmobile trails right from your cabin. You can even request a take-away lunch to accompany you on your excursions. Relax and unwind at the end of the day in the sauna, before heading out to do it all again the next day.

    Agnew Lake Lodge

    Perfect for: Anglers, Sledders, Cross-country Skiers 

Highlights: 25 km of cross-country skiing trails, back lake ice fishing

Welcome to Agnew Lake Lodge, located on beautiful Agnew Lake halfway between Sudbury and Elliot Lake. Pack a lunch and enjoy a full day of ice fishing on fantastic pike and trout lakes, accessed by snowmobile. Big Moose Camp

Join Big Moose Camp on Lake Nosbonsing to cozy up in your very own heated ice hut -- tip-ups and minnows included. Lake Nosbonsing boasts many of the same fishing opportunities as its larger neighbour, Lake Nipissing, but is a quieter option. Anglers can pursue perch, cisco (lake herring), northern pike, and of course, walleye.
