Where to Tie the Knot in Northeastern Ontario

As this season wraps up it is time to start planning for next year. Wedding season in the North combines perfect weather and beautiful locations to ensure an unforgettable experience!

Flowers aren't the only thing blossoming this time of year. It’s wedding season, and if you’ve been dreaming of your BIG day, Northeastern Ontario has identified three unique venues for special couples to make your “I Do’s” especially memorable!

Capitol Centre

Take “Be the star of your own show” to a whole other level when you take your vows center stage on the Historic Betty Speers Theatre and Stage at the Capitol Centre in North Bay. This is the perfect location for a Gatsby-themed wedding, with the venue’s historic elegance really making you feel like a celebrity on your wedding day. Top the celebration off with a photo shoot on the 1929 Stairwell to Heaven.

Science North + Dynamic Earth

You don’t have to be a rock collector to be married in the Vale Cavern at Science North, one of Sudbury's premiere attractions! This spacious rock cave, created out of blasted rock, provides a unique atmosphere your guests are sure to never forget!

If you’re really looking to leave a lasting impression, consider the Vale Chasm at Dynamic Earth and celebrate your union surrounded by natural rock seven storeys underground!

Chief Commanda II

Tie the knot aboard the Chief Commanda II out on the open water of Lake Nipissing in North Bay. The vessel allows you to have an outdoor wedding in an indoor space and can cater to your every need. With the luxury of creating your own custom package, you can ensure your day is as unique as this wedding venue. For a truly northern look, be sure to take some photos with the Manitou Islands as your backdrop!

No matter where you decide to tie the knot, Northeastern Ontario can offer BIG venues for those special memories. All the best to those of you out there planning such a momentous occasion!
