The ultimate wakeboarding festival returns to Thunder Bay for two days on the weekend of June 25 and June 26. On Saturday the a Wakeboarding contest will take place on Boulevard Lake. On Sunday there will be a BMX and Skateboarding contest at Marina Park.

The festival will also have beer gardens, vendors and gear displays. If you are planning on competing in one of these exciting events, the cost for Wakeboarding is $80 for pros and $50 for amateurs. Boulevard Lake

Located in the North side of Thunder Bay, 650 acres of parkland surround Boulevard Lake from the scenic bluffs to the dam on the lower Current River. The recreation trail system circles Boulevard Lake and is extremely popular for people of all ages for walking, cycling and roller-blading.

Prince Arthur's Landing at Marina Park Skateboard and BMX Plaza

A skate-of-the-art destination! The 2,000 square metre waterfront plaza features a unique combination of world-class skateboarding terrain, locally inspired art installations and casual socializing space.

Specific design highlights include:
- Nearly 25,000 sq. ft total area
- A completely customized skatable re-creation of the Sleeping Giant
- Use of local stone work on key ledges and walls
- An authentic "Classic California" style pool bowl
- Seemless integration of the entire development into the surrounding park and trail system
