Mid Day
Arrive in Sault Ste. Marie, check into hotel or motel to rest and refresh.
4:00 p.m.
Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre (CBHC)
The city’s 25,000 square foot interactive museum was voted the “Best Indoor Attraction” in Canada by Attractions Canada and offers a look at the history of flight and firefighting in Northern Canada. Admire the memorabilia from Dr. Roberta Bondar’s Space Mission aboard the shuttle Discovery. Don’t miss the exhilarating object theatre and flight simulator for an unforgettable experience.
5:30 p.m.
Depart CBHC and transfer to one of the most visible landmarks on the water, the Roberta Bondar Pavilion and Marina. Wooden sculptures of various animals and fish contribute to the unique landscape of the waterfront, including a life-size moose located near the museum ship, the Museum Ship Norgoma. Our waterfront in the summer months has a steady stream of ocean-going and great lakes freighters pass through the Sault Ste. Marie Locks every day.
6:00 p.m.
Enjoy dinner at one of the many great restaurants downtown on Queen Street or throughout the city.
