With the winners announced last year, directors from the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs, Yamaha Motor Canada, OTMPC, club volunteers, groomers and local dignitaries were on hand to congratulate members of the club before they set out on their tour.
A lively discussion covering the state of snowmobiling in the North and the resurgence of Algoma’s snowmobile trails were front and centre, as was the incredible story of how the dedication and hard work of volunteers got these trails open in advance of other regions across the province despite daily breakdowns of technical equipment.
