Snowmobile season is here! Trails are being prepped and groomed right now, time to get the sled out and hit the trails. We love our snowmobiling in Ontario and it shows. With more than 200 clubs and over 33,000km of trails to ride, there is always something going on for snow fans.
 
This is the most comprehensive list of snowmobile events in Ontario. Check here throughout the season for what's going on in your area. We're currently in the process of compiling the list for the 2016-17 season.

Winter 2016-17 Ontario Snowmobile Events

November 2016

Located in the heart of snowmobile country, this is the biggest one-day retail show for snowmobilers in Ontario. There is a lot of snowmobile history in the Kawarthas. This year’s show will consists of mom ‘n’ pop-style aftermarket companies, dealers with their 2016 sleds, resorts from all over Ontario, snowmobile tricked out parts, sled clothing and gear, like those that used to be the mainstay of the Markham fairgrounds snowmobile show in its days.
Registration: $7 to get in. Open from 8:30am to 4:00pm.

Winter 2015-16 Ontario Snowmobile Events

 

District 1—Calabogie-Ottawa-Cornwall

7, Snowarama, Kemptville, ON
Beginning at 8:00 a.m., breakfast will be provided at the North Grenville Fire Hall by the Girl Guides and Path Finders with all proceeds supporting Ontario kids with physical disabilities. Please come out and enjoy a delicious breakfast for only $5.
After breakfast, there will be a photo opportunity at the Fire Hall at 9:30 a.m. as snowmobilers start to hit the trails in support of Easter Seals!
Participants are required to have a trail permit, and are encouraged to collect donations to participate in this event. Support Easter Seals kids and start collecting pledges today by signing up with our easy online registration. Tax receipts are issued to online donors immediately.

7, Snowarama, Morrisburg, ON
The Morrisburg Snowarama begins with a $5 breakfast (open to the public), served from 8:00-11:00am at the Riverside Recreation Hall (13137 Riverside Drive, Riverside Heights). You don't have to be a snowmobiler, everyone is welcome. After breakfast it's time for a fun day of snowmobiling to help raise money for kids with physical disabilities. With every $50 in pledges raised, you will receive a ballot to win a Weekend Getaway at the McIntosh Country Inn as well as 2 gift certificates to Upper Canada Playhouse.

March 2016

The club poker run is rescheduled for March 5th. Prizes, chilli on a bun, lots of warm drinks and a warm clubhouse. The major event sponsor, McNichols Construction Limited, will provide $500 first prize with or without snow. 
 
 

District 2—Kawartha-Bancroft-Mazinaw

 

February 2016

This is the first annual Royal Flush poker fun run. It includes a snowmobile trail ride on designated route, prizes with a major prize for poker winner, food/beverages. Free parking (with or without trailer) You can buy more hands if you want, Profit go to trail maintenance with a percentage to the club charity of choice (Kick's for Kids).

District 3—Uxbridge-Rice Lake-Sharbot Lake

The Long Sault Ridge Runners host the event from 9am to 4pm at the clubhouse, 320 Sandy Hook Road, Pontypool (near hwy. #35). Enjoy at hot lunch. Sales in silent auction go the the Kawartha Lakes Food Source. Food donations will also be accepted.

Since 1974 the Eganville Sno-Drifters have hosted the biggest and best vintage race program north of the border. See new and old sleds and ATVs reaching speeds of up to 100mph. 10 exciting vintage classes including 5 single cyclinder classes in addition to the 5 existing Eastern Pro Tour Vintage Classes. Fun for the whole day.
Registration: $20 per day or $30 for the weekend. $5 per day for children under 11.

The last poker run for the season has a $1,000 Grand Prize. Includes dinner at the Township Hall from 3:00 to 7:00pm. The silent auction begins at Noon with bidding starting at 2:00pm and the auction on at 6:00pm.
Registration: Opens at 10:00am at Township Hall. $20 per poker hand with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd hands. Bidder numbers for silent auction are free. All fundraising donations and proceeds go to go back to the trails!

District 7—Muskoka

This family day weekend come enjoy Muskoka's trails and an evening of great food and fun. All proceeds from the 11th annual installment of this charity event directly help prostate cancer survivors.

Takes place at Lions Camp Dorset on Kawagama Lake Road with proceeds going to aid the Camp and the Tall Pines Snowmobile Club. Prizes awarded for top 10 poker hands, 1st prize is $2000 cash! Prizes awarded for most money in pledges. Lou Moore is back to entertain. Pledge sheets available here

The annual event will be held from 1030am to 3pm on Boleau Lake which is on Trail 17 just north of Trail 10. Warm up by the bonfire with some coffee or hot chocolate. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and meet several sledders and friends. Support the club by purchasing a hot dog, a burger or chili. This year’s Snowarama event will begin at J & R Cycle, 8166 Hwy 26, Stayner, ON. There will be two rides leaving J & R Cycle,  one leaving at 11:00 a.m. and the other leaving at 12:00 noon. The top 25 fundraisers will have an NHL player on their ride.
With a variety of family-friendly activities planned throughout the day, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Chili and coffee will be served throughout the day.

District 9—Grey Bruce & Southwestern Ontario

This year the 11th Annual K2 Wind North Huron Snowarama will take place on Saturday, February 13 beginning from the Londesborough Lions Community Hall. Participants will enjoy 130 km of scenic trails and roads outlined by the North Huron Trail Groomers and Wingham & District Snowmobile Club. Dart markers will be placed along the trail for riders to pick up and bring back to the club house for their chance to win great prizes. Event is RAIN or SHINE. In case of rain a scavenger hunt will take place.
Registration: To participate riders are requested to raise a minimum of $25. The Londesborough Lions club will be hosting a breakfast prior to departure.

District 10—Parry Sound-Georgian Bay-Muskoka

Six Star Snow Riders Club will be hosting the 3rd Annual Raffle and Ride event. The event will be held at the "Rivett Camp", which is located on trail 10. Follow the signs! The Ride will begin at 11:00 am at "Rivett Camp" and you will complete the Blackfly Voodoo loop (through SSSR Trail System Only). SSSR asks you to donate $5 per sled. All proceeds from the Ride will benefit the MacTier Food Bank.
Registration: Raffle tickets will only be available from the "Rivett Camp" from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm.  Raffle tickets are: $10 each or 3 for $20. Limited number of tickets printed. Lots of cool new SSSR Merchandise available too!

This is a charity event to raise money for Easter Seals. The event is the charity of choice for the clubs in the STP of District 12. There are prizes for highest donations collected, oldest and youngest rider and a small give away prizes for entrants.

The ride will begin at 10:00 am and you will ride to Fairbanks Lake Resort. They will be offering a lunch special for all Easter Seals Snowarama participants. Following the day’s activities, a delicious dinner, awards ceremony and prize distribution will take place at the Espanola Elks Lodge beginning at 6:00 pm. Advance tickets only will be available until February 1, 2016, for a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, at various outlets in the participating communities at a cost of $20 per person. Then hook up with the Wawa Club trails to ride Wawa 7 to the D trail to Hawk for lunch at the Big Bear Restaurant. Then it's back to Dubreuilville via the D trail. Easter Seals Ontario along with the Atikokan SnoHok and Kiwanis Club of Atikokan are kicking off the 2016 Snowarama season by hosting the 38th annual Atikokan Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids event on Saturday, January 30, 2016.
We invite you to be part of this year’s event, filled with a variety of fun, family-friendly activities throughout the day and night. This year’s festivities include a 100km sled ride north to White Otter Castle, a hearty lunch at Browns' Clearwater West, dinner at the Royal Canadian Legion, awards, auction and evening entertainment. This year's event will take place at the Ojibway Power Toboggan Association Club House,located at 108 Abram Lake Road in Sioux Lookout. Then it's off for a ride to Hudson for permit holders and a tour of Lac Seul. 
Registration begins at 9:00 am, followed by a ride to Hudson for permit members, then a tour of Lac Seul. Non-permit holders are welcome, but must have their own means of getting to Hudson to start the ride at East Side Cafe, and ride up beautiful Lac Seul. The ride will end with a windup at the OPTA Clubhouse. Riding in our event this year is Lac Seul Police Service, Railside Sports and Marine, Lakeside Marina LTD and McKinstry Chrysler. After the ride, check out the award winning RAM trucks, Arctic cat and SKI-DOO snowmobiles.

This year’s event will take place at the Dryden Flying Club located at Olson’s Landing at 11:00 a.m. for registration, followed by a ride from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. We are pleased to have the Dryden Power Toboggan Club as our partner again this year.

Snowmobilers from across Northwestern Ontario and Northeastern Minnesota are invited to hit the trails for the Grand Portage Lodge and Casino Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids and become part of the most successful winter fundraiser for Easter Seals Ontario. Now in its 13th year, the Grand Portage Lodge and Casino Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids has raised more than $333,000 in support of children and youth with physical disabilities in our community.
To celebrate our 13th year at Grand Portage Lodge and Casino, with every $100 in pledges you raise, you will receive a ballot to win 1 of 13 Snowarama gifts, including a 2016 Polaris 550 Indy Snowmachine, The Edge Water Park Package, Hollow Rock rental and many more!
The event includes a bonfire on the trail, a fabulous dinner, and entertainment on Saturday night. There will be prizes for the top fundraisers, as well as additional prizes throughout the weekend.

Meet just off the B202 trail between 22nd and 8th Line. This event runs in conjunction with the OFSC Try Our Trails Family Day Weekend. Registrants will be provided their identification # along with a trail map detailing that as they ride and enjoy the beautiful scenic trails. They are to collect envelopes #1 through 5 containing their poker hands. Registrants must return their collected envelopes back to the registration location between noon and 1pm. Prizes awarded at 2pm. Chicken on a bun and other refreshments will be available for purchase. If you are interested in volunteering or want more information call the HSR office at 519-855-9686.

Leaving shortly after 9:30am from the Shell Station on Hwy 69. There will be parking for trailers and you will get a notice to place on your vehicle to avoid towing. Then travelling north on the scenic Top C trail between Pointe Au Baril to take in the vistas from the Pickerel and French River bridges. There will be a gas stop at Magnetawan Gas and Store. Stopping for lunch at the French River Inn to get warmed up and then head back down to Pointe Au Baril. Lunch is not included. The cost per person will be $10.00, with proceeds going towards trail maintenance in NEGB.  This will also get you a ticket for your chance to win some awesome door prizes.

There will be 3 stops; first one at the tower pass Klotz Lake, then Pagwa Bridge for lunch where there will be a fire pit to warm up and then to Mooseland for the last stop before arrving in Hearst around 5pm.
