For outdoor enthusiasts, Sudbury has over 300 lakes, many beautiful beaches, and scenic wilderness walking trails, as well as boating, fishing, golf and other outdoor pursuits. Within 90 minutes of nine Provincial Parks, Sudbury is a full service base camp for Northern Ontario adventure.

 If you find the temperatures a little too hot then head into to Sudbury for an underground adventure to cool off! Begin by entering the miner's ‘dry' at Dynamic Earth and prepare for an unforgettable journey to the depths of the earth, as you descend 7 storeys into a dramatic rock chasm while viewing an all new state-of-the art multimedia show. Then, don a miner's hat, enter an underground tunnel, and witness the mining of our planet's precious cargo and the dramatic transformation mining techniques have taken over the last century.

Back on surface... head over to Science North. The Science Centre is filled with fun and imagination. . Experience innovative Object Theatres. Get up close to a porcupine, a beaver and flying squirrels. Build a state of the art LEGO NXT robot, construct your own race car at the new Speed Park racetrack, test your fitness level. Walk amidst hundreds of free-flying tropical butterflies in the F. Jean Macleod Gallery and fly like the wind in Wings Over the North: a 4D Bush Plane Adventure. There's something for curious minds of all ages.

Before heading back to the campsite, walk the Jim Gordan Boardwalk right along Ramsey Lake and in between Science North and Bell Park.
