The Big Nickel is #1
We're #1... We're #1!!
The Big Nickel won the #1 spot for Canada's Roadside Attractions - MSN.ca readers' choices.
"By far the most popular icon, Sudbury's Big Nickel easily grabbed the number-one spot. Almost 50 years old, the Nickel is 9.1 metres (30-feet) in diameter, nearly 61 cm (two feet) thick and sits on the Dynamic Earth grounds. Ted Szilva, the Nickel's creator, had a difficult time convincing the town that it would benefit from the construction, but he persevered, creating one of the most iconic big attractions in the world."
