Enjoy the Fall Colours on Your Road Trip

In early September, the air is definitely much cooler in the evening and at night. With shorter days we all know (although we may not want to admit it) summer is on its way out! That's fine as they say, all good things must come to an end. Don't fret, autumn brings with it a whole new set of things to see and do. As the first frost approaches the leaves on the trees are already beginning to change colour. You guessed it, the fall colour change is about to kick in and enter high gear so start planning your trip now.

The forest will soon be a mix of green, yellow, and red with some orange and even purple here and there. Bring your camera with you and get out on the road. Travelling through Sunset Country at this time of year means some wicked photo opportunities. The blaze of colour along the shore of a blue lake is something that makes for a great image. Wildlife are also in a transitory phase and they are often more visible to humans at this time of year as they venture out further for food to get them through the long winter. Another added bonus is that there are no bugs! The mosquitoes are all gone.

The colour change in Sunset Country is at its height around the last week or two of September and into early October so don't hesitate, to start arranging your fall driving tour in Ontario today! Contact one of the many roadside hotels or motels in the area, or book yourself into a resort or lodge for a weekend or week.
