The "B&B" Bundle
Hunting and Fishing in Ontario

Sunset Country in Ontario, Canada is known for its quality hunting and fishing. We'd like to tell you about a great combination that presents itself every fall a bear hunt combined with some awesome bass fishing. September is the month where this combo is most enjoyable. The days are still nice but the nights are a little cooler. From a bear hunter's perspective this means less insects to bother you while you sit in your stand. From the bass angler's perspective, well, the bass fishing simply heat ups during September - it's that simple!
Ontario Bear Hunts
With an estimated population of at least 75,000 animals and with the largest animals exceeding 600 pounds, Ontario is a bear hunter's dream! Your hunt will be done from a baited stand maintained by your outfitter to ensure they are being actively hit. Success rates on bears in Northwestern Ontario generally fall in the 65% to 75% range so you know your chances are good. You may get lucky and come across an animal with a brown or cinnamon color phase.
Big, Fat Bass!

Like the bear hunting, Ontario has some of North America's premier bass fishing to offer you. During the mid-day, when it is not likely you'll be on your bear stand, you can enjoy fun times reeling in big, fat smallmouth bass. The largest fish exceed 22 inches and weigh close to 7 pounds and boy oh boy, do they ever put up a great fight! Use the same tackle here that you use back home. Tube jigs, spinner baits and small crank baits usually work pretty well.
