All-Canadian Bluesfest – July 7-9

The biggest party of the year in Thunder Bay takes over the Waterfront again with an all-Canadian lineup in celebration of the sesquicentennial.

Taking place July 7-9, the Thunder Bay Bluesfest is in its 15th year of rocking the waterfront.

Karnival on the Kam – July 20-23

Head out to Fort William Historical Park for a brand-new eventthe massive Karnival on the Kam. Featuring thrilling spectacles such as skydiving stunts and aerial coordination, a big top circus, jet ski and water ski stunt shows, human cannonball stunts, timber sports and lumberjack shows, trapeze and high wire acts, acrobats, and chainsaw jugglers! Visitors will enjoy musical entertainment and video games, and be able to go for an exciting flyboard ride on the Kaministiquia River.

Oh and… Karnival on the Kam will also feature Canada's largest-ever fireworks show! This breathtaking, multi-component show will combine fireworks and narration to tell the story of Fort William and its contributions to the development of our community.

Seqsui – July 24-28

In partnership with the province, through Ontario150, SESQUI announces its revolutionary immersive cinematic dome tour, with free screenings of the 360° film HORIZON.

The dome will be in Thunder Bay at the Intercity Shopping Centre from July 24-28.

A true 360° immersive experience, the 20-minute film HORIZON, has scenes shot in every province and territory, showcasing Canada’s awe-inspiring landscapes, diversity of perspectives, artistic talents and the people that call Canada home.  

CP Canada 150 Train Tour – August 6

On Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 3 to 6 pm, the CP Canada 150 Train will be stationed at Marina Park, Bobby Curtola Drive to host a free concert by some of Canada’s best musical performers, including Juno award winner Dean Brody. 

ONTour – August 9

The province is marking Ontario's 150th anniversary with a free concert series that will make 23 stops, including northwestern Ontario dates in Kenora and Thunder Bay.

The ONtour will be in the Lakehead Aug. 9, with a lineup featuring Magic!, Kardinal Offishall and Midnight Shine.  The tour will be in Kenora the following night.

All of the ONtour concerts are free and open to music-lovers of all ages and there are no tickets required.
