Spencer Rice is Kanien’kehá:ka from Kahnawá:ke. He is passionate about the creation of health, happiness, and prosperity for families and communities. His passion, struggles, and privileges have allowed him to work with children and youth as a program coordinator, civil servant, educator, grant writer, and community developer. Now, with a family of his own, he centres his work on Indigenous sovereignty, sustainable industries, and regional economics through differing cosmological, ontological, and epistemological lenses. He’s currently on parental leave developing a series of colonial history animations, starting projects for creating new wealth, redefining philanthropy, and building a strong family.
