Mountain bike trails in Sudbury includes plenty of bare rock riding making it comparable to Utah’s legendary Moab area—with a distinctive Northern Ontario twist.

Kivi Park

Kivi Park, a fabulous all season, multi sport recreation area set on 300+ acres of Cambrian Shield, has quickly become one of the most popular places in the city to enjoy the great outdoors. With an extensive network of trails ranging in altitudes and difficulty, this park has something for everyone.

Walden Mountain Bike Club-Naughton

The Walden Trails are a must if you are in Sudbury. The trails have been used not only by seasoned riders and novice riders, but Olympians over the years for both the Ontario Cup Challenge and Canada Cup Races. The design and variety of this network, along with it’s clearly marked trails is what makes the Walden Trails so great.

Lake Laurentian Conservation Area

The Lake Laurentian Conservation Area offers 2,415 acres of protected green space just minutes from the downtown area scattered with trails ranging in difficulty. The Conservation Area is a multi-use trail network that is used both by hikers and bikers in the summer, and also offers great scenic lookouts.

Great Lakes Waterfront Trail

The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail is a scenic route that runs for 3,000 km along Canada’s Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River. The Lake Huron North Channel, a section of the trail that stretches between Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury, offers excellent opportunities for multi-day cycling journeys through off-the-beaten-path parts of Northern Ontario. 

In Sudbury, discover the shorter sections of the trail including the pretty 8 km route that runs from Junction Creek to Bell Park.

For multi-day trips, cycle the peaceful 380 km trail that traverses Mennonite and Amish farmsteads, heritage rivers, thick forests, and sandy beaches, passing through 26 communities where you can stop and explore.
