Anglers looking for affordable and accessible fishing there is the perfect location in Algoma Country to do this – Lake Lauzon Resort. Ideally located on the shores of Lake Lauzon and the trans-Canada Highway, this quaint and comfortable resort has everything you need to experience a quality-fishing trip. Lake Lauzon is a large lake system with clear water and much structure, perfect for anglers! The lake possesses healthy populations of smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye and lake trout. There are even musky in this system!

Of equal importance, in the area of Lake Lauzon Resort, there are numerous other lakes and rivers with public access that anglers can visit. The accommodations here are clean, comfortable and very affordable. You can bring your own boat or rent one from the resort. For fly fishing, it is strongly recommended you bring a six weight rod for bass and eight to ten weight rods for the pike, musky and lake trout. Big streamers in white, black, orange, and chartreuse are proven effective in this area!
