For those that love to catch big smallmouth bass, this is one destination you have to visit! Seine River Lodge is located in Northwest Ontario, not far from the Trans-Canada Highway. Many anglers state they are home to some of the best smallmouth bass fishing Ontario has to offer. Smallmouth here have gained a reputation because of the high numbers and large trophy "football" sizes available. This has attracted professional and recreational smallmouth anglers from all over North America. But you don’t have to worry about crowds as the lodge has access to much of the river plus nine other lakes in the chain. For fly fishers you want to bring streamers I white, black and chartreuse. When topwater action is on, black, green and yellow are the best producing poppers. The Seine Chain and the Atikokan area as a whole is definitely a go to fishing location for trophy smallmouth bass fishing, especially for fly fishers.
