In terms of accommodations and restaurants, there are lots of reasonably priced options right in the city and on the edges. There are lots of easy drive-to rivers with full public access.

In terms of equipment we recommend 9 or 10 foot length rods in a 7 or 8 weight. Floating lines or running lines work well. You can swing a fly or use nymphing techniques to find steelhead. Stonefly, egg, and streamer patterns work very well.
