For those that love to catch pike on a fly, Northern Ontario is a special destination. One great place to consider for this type of fishing is Watson's Kaby Lodge, located in Algoma Country. This fly-in full-service lodge is located on the massive Kaby Lake, which possesses good numbers of pike, walleye, and whitefish. There are even speckled trout in a local river which flows into the lake.

The flies to use here on the surface are deerhair sliders in black and orange or large poppers in black. For subsurface action, the best flies are large streamers like deceivers in orange/black and red/white. It is recommended you bring both floating and sinking lines to help explore all parts of the water column. An eight weight rod is ideal for the fishing here. Watson's Kaby Lodge is a comfortable and well-appointed lodge with great food, accommodations and boats that are perfect for anglers. You can hire a guide for the day to help you learn the best spots quickly. A great adventure awaits you at Watson's Kaby Lodge.
