Ride for the Cause 2019

Because spring has sprung, you want to ride, and the roads up here are phenomenal. Head to North Bay for a day of fun on June 8th.

The long winter is finally over. The 2019 Ontario motorcycle season is well underway. Warmer winds are blowing, buds are budding, the sun is shining, and bikes are getting rolled out of the garage. Bikers are taking every opportunity to get out on the road—the longer the ride, the better. And while we all know it’s not the destination but the journey that really matters, sometimes it’s good to have a place to aim for.

Carlson Sports has been home to motorheads in the area for years

And once again, Carlson Sports has a reason you should aim for North Bay. Less than a month from now, the home to powersports in the area will host the annual Ride for the Cause on Saturday, June 8. It’s a chance to take in the beautiful roads of Northern Ontario, raise funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and try out some brand new Yamaha motorcycles.

After registration, the Carlson team will take participants on a 164-kilometre round trip north of Lake Nipissing. Cruising the 17/Trans-Canada Highway west from Carlson Sports to Verner, the ride will venture north up Highway 575 to continue on the 64 all the way to Marten River for a stop at Trapper Trading Post before heading south back to Carlson Sports for a BBQ.

  • Saturday, June 8, 2019
  • Carlson Sports, 11 Couchie Industrial Rd, Hwy 17, North Bay, Ontario
  • Registration starts at 9 am with the ride departing at 11 am and returning by 2 pm.
  • The cost is $25 per person and that includes the BBQ and great prizes.
Carlson Sports has a wide range of machines in their inventory

The Yamaha Power Tour will be on hand between 10 am and 4 pm giving riders the opportunity to test their exciting 2019 lineup of touring, sport and sport heritage motorcycles.
