Where is timmins?


This scenic waterfront city is home to a bustling downtown with pristine nature just minutes away in any direction. 

Deep in Northern Ontario's boreal forest is a city that offers an escape from daily demands and provides experiences that will take your breath away. A 10-minute drive in any direction will bring you to the edge of town where you can step into the forest with a rod and reel, a camera, and expectations of encountering nature at her finest. Lakes full of fish beckon and the colours of autumn will swirl around you as you breathe in the crisp, clean fall air. A day in the outdoors is a natural remedy for any busy individual.


World-class fishing is just one of the reasons visitors flock to the city. 

Timmins is easily accessible by road, plane, and Ontario Northland Railway. The city's Victor M. Power Airport is serviced by Air Canada Jazz, Porter Airlines, Air Creebec, and Bearskin Airlines.

Chain restaurants are numerous and ready to serve. These are located along the main stretch through town, which is part of highway 101. Looking to taste the true culinary aspect of Timmins? Your palate will be pleased with the fusions created by Radical Gardens, the Northern Lights Fauxmagerie, the Voyageur Restaurant at Cedar Meadows, and finally Restaurant Nadeau


Radical Gardens is known for its locally-sourced, colourful and creative offerings. 

Would you like to dine in an historical venue? Skate on over to the McIntyre Coffee Shop located in the McIntyre Arena where many NHL'rs got their hockey start on that very rink. If the 1950s is your jive and you’re up for an ice cream treat, the Pine Dairy Bar can’t be beat! So many choices, you’ll want to try them all. Many of these establishments use locally-sourced ingredients so your selection from the menu will be seasonal and delicious!

The Timmins Museum National Exhibition Centre is an architectural gem with interesting exhibits for every taste.
