We've listed more info below, on the outdoor adventures featured in our new promotional video (in order of appearance). We hope you'll choose to embark on a legendary adventure—or two—this year.

Stand Up Paddling

SUP has taken Ontario lakes by storm. And wherever there is a calm lake in Northeastern Ontario, you'll find an opportunity to experience stand up paddling. There are outfitters in the Northeast who offer SUP rentals. Find them listed on northeasternontario.com.

Paddling

A scenic paddle in the north

Enjoy unspoiled wilderness, and pristine waters on the 30,000+ lakes and rivers in Northeastern Ontario. Provincial Parks, in partnership with local outfitters can help to create the perfect paddling adventure for the adventurous at heart.

Biking

Discover your inner explorer on Northeastern Ontario's organized trail systems. Bike trails range from flat & paved, to rugged & advanced. Manitoulin Island is a well known location for road cyclists.

Snowshoe Trails

What's an explorer to do during the winter months? Go snowshoeing of course. Strap on your snowshoes (rentals available) and experience the north blanketed in fresh snow.

Adventure by Rail

Travel 300 km north of Cochrane, ON by rail on the Polar Bear Express to the rural community Moosonee, ON - on the James Bay Basin. Moose Factory Island, reachable by water-taxi, is the locations of Hudson's Bay Company's first store. Remnants of the first settlers are still visible.

Hiking
