4 Restaurants You Gotta Eat at in Sault Ste. Marie

Ditch the fast food and check out these great local eats in the city.

While you may be distracted by all of the beautiful nature trails and great attractions when visiting Sault Ste. Marie... everybody's gotta eat! Ditch the fast food like McDonald's (Timmies is acceptable since, let's be honest, it's not a road trip if you don't have Timmies!) and check out these great local eats in the city.

Burger Don

If you're a burger fan, Burger Don is a must. I'm not the biggest fan of burgers, but they definitely converted me! What sealed the deal? Their doughnut burger. Yes, you read that correctly. Sink your teeth into the double beef patty, maple-glazed bacon, cheese and toppings sandwiched between a grilled honey-dipped doughnut. Don't forget to add peanut butter too! It sounds crazy, but I promise it's delicious.

The Boiler Room

A newcomer to Sault Ste Marie's culinary scene, wood-fired is the way to go at The Boiler Room. This historic venue sets the scene for some of the best pizza in the area. Handmade fresh when you order, your only regret will be that you can't eat more. Don't miss out on their special Monday-Wednesday where you can get a pizza and pint for just $15! The big question is... can you decide which pizza to get? You just might have to get a few and share with friends!

View Restaurant + Bar

Just because it's a hotel restaurant doesn't mean it isn't delicious! The View Restaurant + Bar boasts a beautiful waterfront patio in the warmer months, making it a must-visit in the summertime. Inside, you'll find a more bar-like area where you can easily catch the game with your buds or sit in their bistro for a more formal dinner. Don't feel like you have to get dressed up, though—I showed up in my hiking garb and they let me in the door just fine! They have a wide range of dishes from your classic steaks to unique fusion dishes. Also if you're going to splurge a little, be sure to get dessert... I promise you'll regret it if you don’t!

Vibe Eatery & Juice Co

You'll eat well, feel well and live well with a bite to eat from Vibe Eatery! Vegetable lovers will rejoice as their menu is mainly vegan. This doesn't mean carnivores won't enjoy it too! You can enjoy their healthy dishes for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Try their pancakes or falafel bowl, both are equally delicious! I hear the warm mushroom salad is a huge hit, and I can't wait to try it next time I'm in town. Whether you're looking for an adorable place to sit and grab a bite or just want to grab a quick juice and go, you can't go wrong with Vibe Eatery.

Are you getting hungry? I sure am again, just thinking about all these delicious eats! Sault Ste. Marie may not be the first place you think of when it comes to a culinary destination, but I guarantee that will change when you see how well you'll eat well during your visit.
