Throughout the season, tens of thousands of Ontario snowmobilers visit the OFSC Interactive Trail Guide.
But, starting this season, the OFSC has launched a new online app for the 2019/2020 season with enhanced features to improve rider experience.
- See all of the trails, no cell connection required
- Share your location with friends and family
- Plan your trip around the various snow tours in Ontario
- Create a custom trip and share it with friends
Improvements in features and functionality are always in the works, and at only $3.99 this is the best value for online snowmobile maps.
The mobile-friendly Interactive Trail Guide can still be opened and used on a smartphone as-is, without download the app either.
Province-Wide Reference Tool
The OFSC Interactive Trail Guide is Ontario's only province-wide snowmobile trail reference tool. This one-stop source provides real time trail status and trail network information on trail accessible services, fuel, and other points of interest. It provides two primary functions that are very beneficial to snowmobilers: “Trail Status” and “Trail Network.” For best results, use Edge, Google Chrome, or Firefox.
Snowmobilers need to be aware that the OFSC Interactive Trail Guide is the only authorized source to get the most recent Trail Network data, as provided by OFSC member clubs through their districts. For GPS devices only, the OFSC provides this data to its official and only partner in this technology, Trak Maps. So beware of any other 3rd party apps that may claim to show OFSC Prescribed Trails, because they are likely to be incomplete or not up to date. And frankly, not much better than paper trail guides for keeping you current and informed.
Snowmobilers also need to be aware that the OFSC Interactive Trail Guide is the only authorized province-wide reference source for the very important Trail Status information that assists in your decision about where and when to ride legally. This data is not provided or available to any third party. For both current Trail Network and Trail Status, the OFSC recommends that you be sure to check the Interactive Trail Guide before accessing any OFSC snowmobile trail.
