Snowmobile Week in Timmins

The city of Timmins, only a few hours' drive from Toronto, is an outdoor winter adventure goldmine, with not only snowmobile trails but skiing, snowshoeing, and other outdoor activities aplenty.



Coming up on March 1-10 is Snowmobile Week, with tons of opportunity for sledding fun whether you're riding solo, with family, or friends. 

Not only that, but every day has a local restaurant offering a special. See below for the list of events, and check back in for updates here or with Tourism Timmins.

Things kick off on Friday, March 1 with a flag raising at City Hall.

Saturday, March 2, witness the Eclipse Financial Snowcross Pro Challenge at the Spruce Street South Snow Dump. Saturday is kids' day, and children under 12 get in for free!
Restaurant Special: Wings & Beverage at Montena Hotel (331 Pine St S)

Sunday, March 3, Eclipse Financial Snowcross Pro Challenge at the Spruce Street South Snow Dump continues.
Restaurant Special: Kids Super Sunday - $4.99 kids' meals, $3.99 beverages at Boston Pizza (856 Riverside Drive)

Monday, March 4, visit Tourism Timmins (325 2nd Ave.) for maps, coffee, and hot chocolate.
Restaurant Special: All-you-can-eat pasta at Siva's Family Restaurant

Tuesday, March 5, ride to Cedar Meadows Resort (1000 Norman St) to experience the Wilderness Tour. 3 pm, $12
Restaurant Special: Daily special at Cedar Meadows Resort

Wednesday, March 6 is the $10 Ride and Dine at Kamiskotia Snow Resort. The chalet will be open from 6 to 8 pm.

Thursday, March 7, ride to Ramada Inn (1800 Riverside Drive) for an Indigenous Experience in the Teepee.
Restaurant Special: Burgers & Brew event at Montana's (1500 Riverside Drive)

Friday, March 8, ride to McIntyre Arena (85 MacIntyre Road) for a great meal in the coffee shop and some minor hockey action.
Restaurant Special: Fish & Chips at the adjacent McIntyre Coffee Shop

Saturday, March 9, trailer to Horwood Lake Hodge for an awesome off-trail adventure, or ride to Tata Chika Pika Lake Lodge to fill up on fuel and enjoy a great meal.
