It’s hunting season!

Egg hunting that is.

For those looking to bag some eggs this weekend, you’ve got options.

The hunting starts on Good Friday. Join the Hillcity Kinsmen at Frank Charry Park at noon in Thunder Bay’s East End. This long-running event is a local favourite and the perfect chance to sharpen your hunting skills before the weekend gets into high gear.

Gammondale Farm is hosting the Easter Festival Saturday April 4th from 11am to 3pm. This long-running, annual event is a local favourite. There are tons of activities for the whole family including horse and buggy rides and an Easter slingshot, but certainly everyone is there for the incredible hunting opportunity. Bring a basket and find all the eggs. All hunt participants will be rewarded with treats and if you’re still hungry don’t forget to head over to the Log House for lunch and visit the bake sale hosted by the Westmount Grade 8 Graduation class. Click here for more info.

If you’re seeking a more urban egg hunting adventure, we’ve got that for you too. The Waterfront District BIA is hosting their Easter Eggstravaganza. Saturday from 1:30pm-4pm, you are invited to bring the family downtown. With 2000 eggs scattered throughout the north core, this is not only a great chance to grab a ton of eggs, but also to get out and explore the local businesses and shops t in the area. Note: There’s eggs hidden inside many of these businesses.. There’s also face painting, crafts and a chance to get your picture taken with the bunny. Click here for more info.

The season is a short one so get out there and get as many eggs as you can!
