Experience the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre

Step inside an authentic bushplane, get up close and personal with cars from yesteryear or catch a big screen 3D experience in the Ranger Theatre at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. The newly renovated Children’s Flight Centre has plenty to keep kids busy, including flight simulators that put your kids in the pilot’s seat, arcade-style gaming consoles and interactive displays. One of the most popular stops in the museum? A real aircraft cockpit.

Tour the Old Stone House

History comes alive at the Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site, affectionately known as the Old Stone House. Step back in time to the 1800s, when Charles Oakes Ermatinger and other respected local residents inhabited the Ermatinger Old Stone House. It’s been completely restored to depict what life was like for them and features displays of antique furniture, dishes, décor and clothing. This year-round cultural attraction is also home to the interactive Heritage Discovery Centre, along with two of the oldest stone buildings located northwest of Toronto: The Ermatinger Old Stone House and the Clergue Blockhouse.

The Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site is located at 800 Bay Street.

Catch a Soo Greyhounds Game

See some of the best OHL players in the league in action at a Soo Greyhounds hockey game. The Greyhounds hockey club is known for being a starting point in the careers of esteemed alumni, including Wayne Gretzky, Ron Francis, Joe Thornton, Jeff Carter and Matt Murray. Game day provides entertainment for the whole family: grab some treats at the concession stand and enjoy an action-packed event, conveniently located in the city’s downtown, modern arena.

The Soo Greyhounds play home games at the Essar Centre, located at 269 Queen Street East.
