There are a large number of maple syrup producers in Algoma Country. Did you know that St. Joseph Island has the largest center of maple syrup producers in all of Ontario? Mountain Maple Products has been in business for 50 years producing fresh maple syrup. Their product line has grown to include maple candies and maple butter, BBQ sauce, and beef jerky infused with maple syrup.

The Serpent River Trading Post is a stunning log building located on Trans Canada Highway 17 and houses a beautiful collection. Paintings and prints, moccasins, beaded mittens, jewellery, and apparel, are all made by local crafters and artists from the area. Visitors should also visit the Art Gallery which is one of the largest collections in Northern Ontario of Woodland and Native art, and much more.
