August 2018 Personal Watercraft Events

2, Bruce Peninsula / Tobermory Thursday Ride, Lion’s Head, ON
A scenic ride up to Tobermory via Dryers Bay and Cabot Head, exploring cliffs, coves and wrecks along route . Stop for a patio lunch at Coconut Joe’s in Tobermory. After lunch we head over to flower pot island for some sight seeing, and then we make our way back Tobermory. 
Meet up at 9:30 am, on the water for 10 am. Gas will be available at our lunch stop. Washroom facilities and fuel are located at the Lion’s Head Marina. 
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we may change the ride plan. Be sure to check in the night before the ride.
Registration: Launch from Lion's Head Marina for $12.

4, Sparrow Lake or Georgian Bay Ride, Port Severn OR Port Stanton, ON
Weather and wind depending we will launch out of either Lauderdale Marina on Sparrow Lake or Starport Marina on Georgian Bay. Early start means more time on the water. There will be a lunch stop. 
Location will be firmed up once we know the actual weather forecast for the region.

5, Otonobee River & Rice Lake Ride, Peterborough, ON
Leave from Squirrel Creek Conservation Area to ride the Otonabee River down to Rice Lake, across to hastings for gas and food. Then return to Squirrel Creek.
Food reservations will be made by Friday at McGillicafey's Pub and Eatery.

11, 1000 Islands Pirate Ship Tour Day 1, Kingston, ON
Can’t make both days? Come to just one! It’s Pirate Ship Weekend on the 1000 Islands. This will be day one of two for a back to back ride weekend, with the “Bay of Quinte Tour”, with day two on the following day, Aug 12.
Launch from 96 Yonge St, Kingston between 9 and 9:45 am. Departure at 10 am. A 120-140km ride depending on water conditions and group size. Then trailer back to Belleville.
Fuel: Two Marinas side by side. Secondary fuel will be available in Gananoque.
Dinner Suggestion: The shorelines casino for an awesome buffet (1 lb. t-bone steak, half a chicken or salmon fillet for entire).

12, Bay of Quinte Tour Day 2, Belleville, ON
Can’t make both days? Come to just one! This will be the second day of our back to back ride days.
Launch from 75 Herchimer Ave in Belleville. Launch time: 9:30-10:15 am, departure: 10:30 am. Early Lunch so don't eat a huge breakfast! Two options: the sit down pub (very good!) or a chip truck on the other side of the river.
Fuel: Belleville side by side marinas.
Ride Length: 135 km - 155 km.
Travel to Brighton and depending on water conditions a pit stop at the bombing range beach. Then proceed back to Belleville and on your merry way home!

18, Severn River and Big Chute Lock Ride 2018, Severn Bridge, ON
Experience the engineering wonder of Big Chute from your PWC. On from 10 am to 5:30 pm at the Lauderdale Point Marina & Resort, 3500 Lauderdale Point Crescent, Severn Bridge.
Registration: Anyone who intends to participate in a planned ride needs to sign a mandatory electronic waiver. You will only need to complete the waiver once a year. September 2018 Personal Watercraft Events

8, Kawartha Lakes Tour 2018, Lindsay, ON
Hosted by Toronto PWC, this tour will begin from Snug Harbour in Lindsay, Ontario. It will be a new route, as Toronto PWC plans to avoid locks this season.
Registration: Anyone who intends to participate in a planned ride needs to sign a mandatory electronic waiver. You will only need to complete the waiver once a year. 14, Sandbanks Family Funday, Picton, ON
Bring your watercraft out to this beautiful location to spend the day with many other PWC owners at the Dunes beach Sandbanks Provincial Park. Beach the ’Doos, picnic, tubing, wakeboarding, etc. Plenty of parking and boat launches for $10 to $15 in Prince Edward and Wellington. West Lake is sheltered for water sports and Lake Ontario is great for wave jumping! Be aware of no-wake zones—the OPP enforces this lake regularly, especially on weekends.

14, Big Rideau Telus Watercraft Ride for Dad, Rideau Ferry/Perth, ON
Join us for a fun-filled day of riding with a lunch, poker run, prizes and much more all while helping to raise money to fight prostate cancer for our local community! Takes place at the Rideau Ferry Harbour, 110 Coutts Bay Road. Closing ceremonies from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
Registration: Open from 10:30 am to noon. Lunch during registration. Ride departs at noon.

14, 15, 2018 CanAm Watercross Tour, Belle River, ON
The only Ontario stop on the CanAm closed course event schedule. All CanAm events are International Jet Sports Boating Association world finals qualifiers. Learn more on the CanAm Watercross Tour Facebook Page.

21, 2018 Can-Am Upper Niagara River Friendship Ride, Niagara Falls, ON
We share the waterways; now let’s share our love for PWC. American and Canadian riders unite! Hosted by WNY PWC Owners, TorontoPWC and PWC Club of Rochester. Begins at 10 am. Canadians riders launch from Niagara Parks Marina (7400 Portage Road, Niagara Falls), U.S. riders launch from Gallagher Beach (recommended). However feel free to launch where you see fit along the river, and then meet the group upstream from Strawberry Island at 10 am. Includes a sponsored product give away and raffle at Grass Island which will be the halfway point of the ride. Bring your own lunch. We will eat at a rest stop on the route. 
Ride Plan: Meet in the water, upstream from Strawberry Island. Then head out on our 29-mile ride around Grand Island, and then head out to the Buffalo waterfront. On the way back we will do some wave jumping, before heading back to the starting point. 
Some sites on the route include: seeing the mist of the falls, Peace Bridge, Buffalo waterfront, lighthouse, battleships and the roundhouse.
The ride is to be featured in Pro Rider Magazine and our Friends from the Watercraft Network will be joining us!

30, Muskoka Lake Ride for Dog, Gravenhurst, ON
A dog and a Jet Ski, what more can you ask for? But not every dog is so fortunate—some do not have Jet Ski’s…actually some dogs do not even have “forever” families. This ride is in support of Carter’s Forever Rescue & Sanctuary. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go directly to the charity to support their immediate needs. Due to the challenges associated with lunch reservations for large groups, we have secured the use of the Muskoka Wharf Pavilion and docks for our lunch break. This space offers us great facilities.
Launch: Muskoka Wharf Marine (295 Steamship Bay Rd, Gravenhurst)
Time: June 30th @ 10am (on the water for 10:30am)
Charity Lunch: Muskoka Wharf Pavilion (non-riders are welcome)
Ride Plan: 10:30 – 12:30 am: Loop around Lake Muskoka enjoying the sights of this beautiful lake. 12:30 –2 pm: Charity lunch and meet and great with some rescue dogs (gas stop). 2-5 pm: Venture up to Port Carling, exploring the inner channels. We can vote on proceeding through to explore Lake Joseph. 
All ride participants will need to complete this electronic waiver
Registration: Your $20/per person donation (cash on the day )includes pizza lunch, bag of chips, baked goods, 2 drinks (bottle of water and/or pop), use of the Pavilion and docks space, and a raffle entry to win winterization for a Jet Ski (valued at $260 – sponsored by TorontoPWC).
Any donation of $25 or more made on the Carter’s website will also be eligible for the above benefits, plus will also receive a charitable tax receipt at the end of the year.
