Gilbertson's

Cafe NaturaMill Market

Welcome back Spring with your family and friends and visit Gilbertson's Maple Products on beautiful St Joseph Island. This pancake hot spot is just 40 minutes east of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

You can expect more than pancakes and maple syrup when you take a trip out to visit Gilbertson's, you can also see how it's made!

At first glance you will see an "old fashioned" bucket system that will take you right to the trails through the bush where you can enjoy the natural beauty of the scenery, while learning about interesting facts about maple syrup and how it's made.

Then, move inside and warm up and watch the modern methods used to collect, store, boil and package the smooth golden taste of Gilbertson's syrup.

See first hand how the process works from start to finish and ask the experienced staff any questions you have, they would be delighted to explain the full syrup making process.

Finish off your visit in the the pancake house and restaurant and taste for yourself the delicious options from the menu. The fluffy pancakes smothered in pure maple syrup and Gilberston's famous maple baked beans is a great place to start.
