The Complete 2014 List of Boating Events in Ontario



Currently a work in progress, this will be the most comprehensive list of all Ontario boating events for the 2014 season.

April 2014 Boating Events

An icon on the Sudbury landscape for over 30 years, the show is held the city's largest venue, the Garson Arena and Community Centre. Featuring everything outdoors—boating, fishing, camping, vacation packages, ATV's and trailers, ice fishing displays, hunting and more. First 200 people each day receive a free fishing lure. June 2014 Boating Events

New and pre-owned boats of all sizes make up this show, from inflatable to offshore performance to fishing boats to cruisers. This event is an established trade show for the boating industry and private sector. This is one of the few shows offering private owners an opportunit to sell their boat. The show also features a variety of marine, cottage and outdoor products, land vedors and marine safety demonstrations. Click here for the Vendor Application. 
 
13-15, Muskoka Lakes Poker Run, Gravenhurst, ON
The Muskoka Lakes Poker Run will kick off this year's poker run season. A lot of money was raised for a local charity so this event is very much appreciated in the community. A group rate has been arranged for at the Marriot Gravenhurst Muskoka Wharf. It's for a two-night minimum but you'll want to stay for both. Click here for registration. More details to come.
 
19-22, Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival, Ottawa, ON
North America's largest dragon boating event with over 200 teams in corporate, community and competitive categories. Free admission to multiple stages with world class entertainment, amusment attractions, extreme sports demonstrations, artisans, exhibitors, food, beach side bar, children's area and non-stop racing.

Meet in Central Marine in Midland and have lunch next door at the Boatworks at the Town Dock. After lunch everyone will make their way to Parry Sound to overnight at the newly renovated Comfort Inn on 120 Bowes St. Email Dawn at cn288fds@whg.com to book your room. There will be a buffet dinner on Friday night at Don Cherry's, 72 James Street. On Saturday depart Parry Sound at 11am to finish the run at Henry's North for lunch.
 
 
Taking place at the Ranta Marina on Hwy 18. A fun-filled day of riding with a lunch, poker run, prizes and much more all while helping to raise money to fight prostate cancer for the local community.

Taking place at the Rideau Ferry Harbour, 110 Coutts Bay Road. A fun-filled day of riding with a lunch, poker run, prizes and much more all while helping to raise money to fight prostate cancer for the local community. 25-27, Muskoka In-Water Boat & Cottage Show, Gravenhurst, ON
Free fun for the whole family at the Muskoka Wharf. This show occurs alongside the Muskoka Rib Fest. More than 100 boats and cottage exhibits, live entertainment and lots of prizes and giveaways. 
 
25-27, Bay of Quinte Poker Run/Rendezvous, Belleville, ON
All boats welcome to participate in this highly anticipated weekend extravaganza at Meyers Pier. The Poker Run will follow the same route as last year with stops in Deseronto and Picton Harbour,  a lunch stop at Fraser's Marina in Trenton, then back home to port in Belleville. Lots of prizes, food and convenient docking make this a great event for the whole family.

 

August 2014 Boating Events

8-10, 1000 Islands Poker Run, Kingston, ON 
Experience the thrill of riding in an extreme performance boat at this ride of a lifetime event. Check in tent at Confederation Park on Ontario Street in downtown Kingston where your boat will be moored for the weekend. To take part in the Poker Run call 1-800-354-9145 ext. 252 to pre-register. 
 
8-10, Orillia Waterfront Festival, Orillia , ON
A weekend of fun activities and entertainment at the beautiful Port of Orillia and waterfront parks on Lake Couchiching. Featuring an in-water boat show with space for 250 boats and including new, dealer trade and select brokerage models. Over 100 land vendors and exhibitors offer everything from boating accessories and water sport equipment to cottage and outdoor products to great summer fashions. 8-10, Wakestock, Collingwood, ON
A weekend of packed with music, parties and a whole lot of wakeboarding. This year Wakestock has partnered with the Nautique Wake Series to bring top competitors from the amateur, Pro Women and Pro Men levels. Check back here soon for more details.
 
Taking place at the Chrysler Park Marina, 12480 Cty Rd 2. A fun-filled day of riding with a lunch, poker run, prizes and much more all while helping to raise money to fight prostate cancer for the local community. This ride is open to pleasure crafts. A whole weekend of water activities within the city of Kawartha Lakes and the Lindsay Ribfest. Check out the show hosted by the Trent-Severn Antique & Classic Boat Show Association. Fun for the whole family and it's free. Located at the docks directly within the Old Mill Park venue.
